and welcome to my website. I am located in
Canal Fulton, Ohio along the banks of the
Erie Canal, close to Akron, Ohio. Cutting
semi-precious stones has been a passion for
me since 1964. After graduating high school
I entered the jewelry trade. I learned many
different ways of working gold and silver.
Those include forging, reticulation, gold
overlay, bead setting and fabrication. All
of this education has given me the
opportunity to create quality work. All of
my designs are contemporary with ties to the
past. All through the 70's I and my family
collected much of the gem material I now
use. My father was a machinist by trade, so
a lot of my tools are hand made. All of my
work is professional polished to a perfect
shine. |

I was
married and had 4 children, moved to
the Cleveland Ohio area where I
worked in the wholesale jewelry
trade, all the while continuing to
cut stones. Following a heart attack
in 1990, I retired and started
Josephs Designs. |
